    “Just Like Running”

thus far, so great. Its an extremely heavy block, that matches exactly to the rubber casing. It can be removed and used without the rubberized casing as well. The steel block comes coated in oil and within a plastic bag, in the rubber casing. The oil coating is normal of carbon steel tools such as this to shield it from corrosion. Its somewhat messy, but you need to wipe all the oil off before using it. It’s subject to rust since it is not stainless steel, but again, that is typical of this type of tool. The metal block surface came smooth and unmarred. First use was light hammering with a planishing hammer onto a little wire woven piece of jewlery (toggle to get a grip) which was powerful. Very good quality for this type of product.

“Very Solid and simple to Work On”

Very solidly built and the rubber base helped to keep everything from damaging or moving my counter-top. A big enough work surface for metal jewelry. The only type I found in the regional shops were 2×2 and nothing even closely in contrast to this. I would advise this to anyone interested in metal stamping jewelry.

    “Excellent As A Small Anvil”

I use the cube to operate aluminum. Excellent as a small anvil. Steels appears pretty hard and resistant to marring and, up to now, seems resistant to any rust. The rubber definitely dampens the noise and keeps it from moving around. Very wonderful item for the purchase price. Quite happy.

“Nice Size Anvil And Works Great. ”

So far Ive used it once to attach a a piece of fabric elastic strap end to my tool pouch. With a little rivet, it worked fantastic. Soon Ill be using it to attach eyelets to a leather cuff Im making.I like the rubber base , absorbs shock and helps to decrease noise when hammering.Removing the protective coating off the rubber base took a couple of minutes though.

    “4 Double Sided Pounding Block”

Great block. Works much better than I anticipated. I highly suggest this block. I suggest having a sandbag with this block to absorb the impact and possible harm to the surface on which it is used. Sandbags can be bought, or they are simple enough to make. I whipped up one in nothing flat!

“A Must Have For Wire Jewelry Making”

I enjoy this product. However, had to wash the rubber and abandon both bits outside for a few days to air from the strong industrial rubber odor. Have not used the cube yet, since I am waiting for the hammer out of another provider. I a certain the block will do the job just fine and the rubber backing can be used to buffer both the shocks and for other, finer work.

    “Perfect”

Only got my cube and it is just as described! On side had a couple super tiny dinks in it but the other side of the metal was perfect. This will work good for my job
